euro.

in euro (literally at this moment) we are learning about the reign of terror and the anti-religious movement. it worries me. i identify with many features of the cult of the supreme being, but i don't want to. although i am not religious, i just don't know if a society can function without it.

can a completely secular society exist?

I don't think it is possible either. I am not sure why. I would venture to guess it has to do with justice and morality. I think it is hard to seperate these things from religion and other beliefs.....that may be a reason why, i might be wrong.

i was thinking the same thing, so long as the notion of religion exists. but what if the society predates the notion of religion?

our is the draw to religion innate? i am toying with the idea of ritual as a necessary component for life.

what is the atheistic end game?

is religion just belief?

can you be a hypocrite without belief-religion?

to be anti-religious is just to form a new religion.
